Adrian walked into the area with his mind focused. He looked left and right not accustomed to this rather large facility. To see so much knowledge in one place was a bit...overwhelming to say the least. Adrian slowly took steps towards a section he had never entered in all his time as a Jedi. He had only fought using lightsaber against lightsaber once. It was a deadly fight that ended in his own masters death. He knew how serious these tools were and why they were generally used for intimidation among the Jedi. But lately...if you call centuries lately, lightsabers have been on and colliding with other lightsabers constantly. Adrian couldn't say he particularly enjoyed war, but to say that he wasn't skilled in knowledge of it would be like denying his existence. Adrian sighed as he couldn't decide on where to start.
I could start with an attempt to compile information in order to discern the current leader of the Sith forces...or I could gather up all the varying methods the Sith used to do combat. Also there is those that support them...I could always attempt to pull up background on them.
Adrian truly couldn't decide as he stood and looked at the large structures that held the files. Adrian finally decided he would go and see the current Librarian.
Master Baumm, are you here? I seek your advice on a pressing matter of mine.
Adrian passed row after row looking left and right. His pace wasn't frantic as he continued to try and decide how he would research these Sith so he could properly meet them in combat. It would be no easy task, and the first time he would encounter the most dense source of the darkside known to him.

Today was one of those days that made Meenu Baumm miss what he used to do. One of those days that made him wonder if what he was doing was what he wanted to do. Not that he would ever take it back. He had made his choice, and he had had his reasons why he had made his choice. Plus, he rather enjoyed his life of study and research. Besides, nobody really cared about what this Ortolan did with his life anyway.
The reason today was one of those days was simply because nobody had come into the Archives to do research today. It was times like this, when he was alone with the archival droids, that he thought back on his past, looked to the future, and wondered about the present.
So far, nobody had come in today. But, as if the Force was pitying him, a single Jedi wandered into the vast halls Master Baumm called home. Instantly, Meenu began to follow him through the halls, as he often did. And though he did not mask his presence, there was not a creature alive that could find him if he chose to hide in this massive Library. He just knew it too well.
Once called by the Jedi, Master Baumm ceased his tirival followings and stepped out from behind a corner, as if he was supposed to by some will of The Force, and made his way towards the Knight, and responded as sulkily as ever.
"You're in the right place, sure enough. What knowledge do you seek?"

Adrian knew better than to not follow the rules of conduct when greeting someone of higher rank than himself. How could he not? Eddicate was ingrained into the young Knight's brain as well as teachings of the force. He couldn't help, but look at the person in front of him...a man he had seen a couple times before, but had never actually came in 1-on-1 contact with him.
As Adrian recalled whenever he was in the library Bey, his now deceased, master was always with him and Bey would be the one asking the Archiver questions and opinions on how to look for research. Adrian bowed his head briefly before looking back up at the rather stout Archiver.
Yes, the members of the council and I both agreed that I would be sent to the Outer Rim in order to aid the Republic as we always do in this time of near conflict. But before that I must learn a little more about the Sith we face today. What are their styles of combat both grand and small, they may have different motives this time around because they are now a nation and not merely a cult, who their Religious and Political Leaders are, and finally just who is supporting these new Sith.
It was a lot he was asking of the Archiver, but hopefully he would prove to answer these questions fairly easily. Adrian needed to know about their fighting style both on a grand scale, large planetary and space battles, and small, in case he ever had to cross a Dark Jedi or Sith in his time out on the front lines. While Adrian no doubt was aspiring to be a battle master well versed in the Jar'kai style he didn't want or need to fight unnecessary battles if he knew how the Sith would move.
Feeling a draft he closed his robes and immatated what he always found his master doing. Simply putting his arms in his sleeves, Adrian awaited the response from the Jedi Master and Archiver.

Master Baumm didn't answer, he simply turned around and began walking through the halls of the Archives, motioning to be followed. He moved rather slowly, almost frustratingly so, but none could say he was a difficult Jedi to follow. He navigated the halls as if he were not searching for something, but rather wandering through, without any purpose at all. And perhaps he had none. Any Jedi who had heard of him knew of his actions in the Archives. He was known for wandering the halls for hours, and had actually been scolded by the Council for wasting time on a few occaisions, though those had been years ago. Nobody, not even the council, bothered with Master Baumm now. In fact, the Ortolan was somewhat surprised at the sign of respect shown to him by the young Knight. He must have been gone for a while. Nobody showed Master Baumm respect. It wasn't any fault of their own, it was just not done.
After some time, they reached the Archive Navigation Computer, where all catalogued information could be accessed, and where the items not electronic could be located.
"There you are..."
(Basically, look something up, and I'll show you what you find on the computer. Then you look something else up, and I show it to you, so on and so forth.)

Adrian followed the Archiver into the heart of the Archives, which the young knight had labeled a decorated library. To be a Librarian for the Jedi, especially in these times when one has so much importance placed on this task. The job had to be taken with some level of duty behind it because one could easily fall with all this knowledge at their disposal. Such a thing has happened before with the Head Archiver in the Jedi's past. The event no doubt recorded by another Archiver who had come to take over the position.
Thank you Master Baumm,
After which he smiled, but not because Adrian found something funny in the conversation or the confrontation. Adrian smiled because of a fond memory he had in the Library where he asked his master if he could use they computer only using the force. Bey assured him that such a feat would be possible and would be an excellent way to train while learning. Adrian was so surprised at the response his master gave him he was speechless for the rest of that entire trip to the Archives.
Focusing his mind again on the task at hand Adrian moves his robe so as not to sit on it then he began hitting in the desired keys. Adrian first of all wanted to know a little about the encounters that the Jedi had with the religious Sith that they were facing. While full blown battle had not erupted there had to have been some small skirmished and recorded battles between the Jedi and the Sith, keeping in mind not between the Republic and the sith.

Jedi Temple Archives.
Ah, this was peace and quite. He thought to himself.
Vex sat in almost a meditative state as he poured over his latest datacard. This was the place where he could come and think and not be interrupted. He could clear his mind here, then again he could do that just as well in the training room too.
This time though it was different. This was the first time he had come to the archives since his last mission. The death of Master Aren Dae still weighed heavily on Vex. He felt as if he was the cause of the Jedi's death. Only if he had been stronger. Unrest started to settle in him. He couldn't get the peace of mind here that he usually found. He decided to go talk to the Master of the Archives to see if the wise Jedi could help with his dilemma. He felt Master Baumm's presence near the directory, along with one other he did not recognize.
Greetings Master Baumm. How is the cataloging going? If I could be of any assistance let me know? I was also wondering if you could help me with a dilemma I have.

Category: Current Organizations Subcategory: Religions Topic: Sith Religion Subtopic: History Article: Recent Encounters with the Jedi
Since the creation of the Sith, the practitioners of this religion have always found themselves att odds with the Jedi order. The term "Sith" technically refers to a specific sect whose origins lie with the group of jedi who left the old Order during the First and Second Great Schisms. These Sith, having originally come from the ranks of Jedi, are bent on the destruction of the Jedi Order. This has been the case as long as both groups have existed, and will most likely continue until one of the two groups, or both, are finally destroyed.
A defining aspect of the Sith is the fact that, while the Jedi are based on peace, the Sith are based on conflict. And so, their own practices are conflicted, and so are constantly changing. Most Recently, however, the Sith have begun a most interesting movement. While the Sith of the past were open in their actions and goals, the Sith of the current era have more personal goals, rarely revealing themselves unless it benefits their ultimate goals. And while the means of achieving these goals are usually very different from Sith to Sith, the goal itself is mostly the same. The Sith seek power.
However, there have been certain cases in recent history of what could be a disturbing trend. Some Sith have had goals that were not predictable, and were potentially more dangerous than those of most Sith. It can be concluded from these points that these Sith, being completely unpredictable, even by their own kind, are far too dangerous and misunderstood to be dealt with safely.
For the most part, any meeting between Jedi and Sith has resulted in quick, if not immediate, conflict. Usually lethal or fatal. Such instances have, however, provided much information as to the practices of the Sith of today. In simplest terms, the Sith are the same as the Jedi, except in thier beliefs.
Sith styles of Combat and of connecting to The Force are equal to, though almost perfectly the inverse of, Jedi practices. For each Form the Jedi practice, the Sith have an equal form, though the uses are usually more geared towards attack than defense. On a greater scale, the Sith rarely plan out a given situation, as a Jedi might do to ensure its success. Though, inversely, the Sith are quite adept at long-term plottings, while the Jedi do not, as a rule, plan too far ahead, focusing on the present, and the continuation of their order.
The most well-known recent conflict between the two religions was the Jedi Civil War. During this time, a political situation like the present one existed, with two parties supported by the two separate religions. During this time, the Jedi and Sith had somewhat similar orders, though again, inverses of one another. For more information, research the Jedi Civil War.
The term "Sith" has also come to define many many different varieties of what are known as Dark Jedi, though the groups are very different. Dark Jedi are any users of the Force who use the Dark Side of the Force, whereas there are usually far less actual Sith, who function at a much more dangerous level than these lesser Force practitioners, whose goals are rarely as catastrophic.

"Ask if you must, but follow. I have much to attend to..."
The Archivist said, muttering to himself.

Adrian ran through the information optically before processing it mentally. About ten minutes passed as he continued with this, but in the end the young Knight sighed. The information summarized the situation up into a very simple conclusion.
So basically the Sith and the Republic have massed like before, with the Sith and the Jedi as their "hearts". The catch is that the new Sith tend not to come out of their closed shell preferring to scheme and plot behind closed doors.
Adrian mused at his assumption as he leaned back slightly in his chair. If this was the case it would almost become impossible to anticipate their movements because he has no idea who the current leader of the Sith are. Seeing this to be true Adrian surmised that any one strategy would not work for any long period of time if at all because he nor anyone else in the Jedi or the Republic can know who currently commands the Sith.
Adrian had always felt that the most powerful generals lead from the back of their armies...while not necessarily gaining the most love form their troops those types of generals were always in view of the big picture therefore able to make the large decisions in spite of emotions and short term dilemmas. To not only have a leader command a force from the back, but to not have a clear identity of the leader so as to learn how to accurately predict his movements was a problem in itself. Knowing the Sith the seat of power could have changed twice already since the young Knight had returned to Coruscant.
This would no doubt be a difficult task for Adrian to complete even if it was simply patrolling. Still sitting at the computer he pushed a few new buttons tried to find the Political Leader or Military Leader behind the Sith nation.

Zul entered the Archives and was shocked by the huge amount of information that was in this one single room. He noticed several other jedi's searching for answers.
He found a lone computer and searched up the many combat forms for lightsabers. He knew that if he wanted to actually survive a fight against an enemy he better know what he is doing. He found Form 1 Shii-Cho and saw that it was simple but still powerful. He read the pages of information about this and studied. He was quickly learning it and wanted to use his new knowledge against a opponent.

Giving up on his search for identification Adrian turned his sights towards information more closely linked to his assignment. The young Jedi Knight began to research for the locations of Sith ruled planets. While they were no doubt out in the outer rim and maybe even further into the unknown regions Adrian still wanted to know exactly where he could begin patrolling with Republic Forces. The young Knight sighed as he looked over the information again and again.
It's a little bit much for an assignment...but I can't afford to be too careless when dealing with these Sith.
He had no real reason to be careless, and this would no doubt test his ability to control himself during battle. Something he secretly wanted to do. Adrian wanted to see if he could hold that small bit of concentration throughout an entire battle, especially against such a tremendous force of the dark side.
Adrian brought his focus back to the work at hand and began waiting for the information to appear so he may study it then of course plan for his next course of action.

(Yeah, so I was gone for two days, and I couldn't post such big posts remotely. But I'm back. So I'm going to post now.)
Category: Current Organizations Subcategory: Nations Topic: Sith Empire Subtopic: Imperialism Article: Worlds of the Sith Empire
The Sith Empire controls a series of worlds along the outer rim, most of which are not technically under Sith control. Again, the Sith empire is not centralized in any manner except for the military, which is constantly spread across the outer rim. Worlds that the Sith control are controlled financially by members of the Aristocracy. Most of these worlds are not even under total control, many being controlled by some kind of a majority. It should be assumed that any world not under Republic control is at least in some respect controlled by the Sith Empire.
The recognized border between Republic and Sith Space, however, lies along the path between the following planets:
Kessel, Gand, Rhen Var, Dubrillon, Muunilist.
However, this is not a strict border, as the Repbulic and Sith have worlds on both sides of the border. For example, the Repubic Mining world of Subterrell lies somewhat deep within Sith Space.
For further clarification, seek a political map of the Galaxy.

From this bit of knowledge Adrian leaned back in his chair again as he thought about the cumulative results of his research. Adrian looked up briefly hearing the every slight movements along the tile floor. He noticed that he wasn't the only one doing research. He paused for a moment, were they always there? No...well maybe, after all Adrian was too absorbed in his own work to notice anything besides part of the temple being blown off. Adrian sighed looking back at the screen.
It's almost exactly like the Sith from Revan's day...they strongly held onto Coruscant, but when it came to any other planet it was a loose grip and or no grip at all. Still they proved to be fierce opponents for the Republic...probably because they were always the ones attacking since they seemingly had no bases to call their own save for the Star Forge. This time Adrian knew, well he hoped that he knew, there was no Star Forge so it wouldn't turn into a complete repeat of history.
So just like before they are keeping themselves to the Outer Rim...well I'll just have to see about the patrols that are going through that perimeter.
So the young Knight proceeded to hit a few more keys hoping to pull up some information on the possible Republic routes he could join. Adrian yawned unexpectedly showing how tiring this research thing was.

Sir, in the outer rim territories, you will only find the Sith if they want u to find them. The local populations wouldnt help you either sir. They live in fear of them because they know that they control their planets not the republic.

Adrian turned to the young Padawan whom he could already tell was taller than him. He smiled briefly as he heard the comment that the young one had made.
Ah that would be true, but seeing as how I was searching for the Sith as a nation they would have to come up somewhere. There is no such thing as a secret nation, maybe a secret religion or cult.
Having said his explanation Adrian turned back to his computer. It was only a moment before he turned back to the young Padawan. Of course that was his assumption, that the person in front of him was a Padawan. Of course he could have been wrong, there were many young looking Jedi in the Order and he could was considered one of them back in the day, becoming a full fledged Jedi while still in his teen years.
Might I ask, what have you come into the Archives for?

A padawan named Fedet Honn had been busy studying, for reasons he did not want to have to explain, the mycological effects of the Rustbite funugs. This low-traffic section had been placed near the computer for aesthetic purposes. Fedet had been studying fungi a lot lately, as a matter of absolute fact. He was a member of the Jedi Service Corps, the jedi who nobody wanted, pretty much. But, as his sepcialty was mycological medicine, a field not often required in the galaxy, he found himself in the archives once again, studying for a task he might never actually have to do. Which was the reason he was in no way diligent in his studies.
Fedet did, however, have one skill which he practiced every day in the temple. He had a knack for following people. He often got into trouble for this, but remained as diligent as ever. Most days he would simply pick a jedi at random and see how far he could follow them without being caught. Today was Adrian's day.
Fedet, having been watching some of the research, abruptly turned around and asked.
"You going to Subterrell, eh? Well, if you are, I wouldn't use that computer if I were you, eh, now?"

Adrian had met one person more than his quota for that time right now. This Padawan though had actually given him advice on where to start his patrols. For that much Adrian was thankful.
Subterrell, an interesting planet indeed. I think I will go there, but I do not feel the need to rush.
Adrian had seen the young Padawan on a couple occasions being scolded by some masters and other Knights. Of course he didn't know his name, but unfortunately all this was not enough to follow up on the rather unusual Padawan.
The young knight's turned his sights back to his original source of attention. Without even waiting for an answer on his part Adrian asked another question.
What's you name Padawan?
