Changes by Jim Butcher. It's the twelfth book in The Dresden Files, the best urban fantasy series.
Unlike most authors, Butcher's writing improves from one book to the next, as do his plots. Harry Dresden doesn't read like a compelling fantasy character or the only wizard in the Chicago phone book; Harry sounds like an old friend telling the story of how he got his most recent scars.
And Changes has one of the best opening sentences I've ever read, with the possible exception of, "The man in black fled through the desert, and the gunslinger followed."

Still in a rereading mood, so I think I shall be going through the A Song of Ice and Fire series again in the very near future. Should be fun.

All right, so, I've been reading a lot for school, lol. I caught up on the Halo story as if stands.
<3 Contact Harvest by Joseph Staten. Cole Protocol by Tobias S. Buckell = boring, at least I thought so. I just... eh, didn't like it. And in the middle for reading Halo: Evolutions, which is a compilation of several stories by several authors and I like them so far. I'm just worried what Karen Traviss might do it since she killed the Mandalorians in Star Wars. x.x
So, I read the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks. Dear God. I friggin loved those books. You want a series and have a mature mind, read those ones. And these aren't little pansy books either. They're 600+ pages each, and there's three of them. Adored them, just, SQUEE! I cried when it was over. xD
I've also gotten into Ted Dekker. Showdown was amazing. I sniffled a little because there was just one part that was... phenomenal. Blink of an Eye[/i] is a more romantic novel that's really cute. I picked up Saint today, which is after Showdown. Can't wait to read it.
I finally got a hold of the other CHERUB books. Love them as always. :3
And, today, I picked up Eve: The Empyrean Age by Tony Gonzales. It's a new sci-fi book that's out there. I found it, had a decent cover, read the synopsis. Hope it'll be good. I'll let everyone know. :3

Started reading Nekropolis by Maureen F. McHugh. It's a semi-futuristic Morocco and many of the poorer people live in a necropolis. It's captivating, has a semi-Arabic vibe, and smooth attention to character.

Earlier this week, I finished reading Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson. Great book; if you love fantasy, you should read it.
I'm now about halfway through Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games. I don't read Teen novels. These books--even though they're Teen novels--kick ass!

Yes. I'm currently reading The Irish Tiger by Andrew Greeley. I've read several of his books. He's pretty interesting, especially if you're of Irish descent.

Right now I'm reading a book series called A Song of Ice and Fire, which I willl admit is totally epic. Also, I'm reading a collection of short stories written by Edgar Allen Poe, which I believe to be some of the greatest writing of all time. Poe creates such amazing imagery that is so unorthodox from almost everything we read today. Occasionally I get tired of hearing "And they all lives happily ever after." I hate it that for some reason we try to cover up a side of reality which is more true than not. Maybe that's just me but it's nice to get a book that ends in a way you didn't expect or even one you saw coming but didn't want as opposed to happily ever after.
So yeah I'm also reading The Wheel of Time off and on. This is probably one of my favourite series and it's so epic.
Also yeah, the people who made Wizard of Oz totally made it more g rated. I understand why they did it and I'm not saying that the book is any better but it's a lot different, yeah.

I've been reading a copy of The Acts of King Arthur and his Noble Knights that I 'salvaged' from my old high school library. I saved it from being torn apart and being used for spitballs. Or just flung at people. Too bad the front cover was already gone when I found it. D:

I'm reading Blue Wolf in Green Fire by Joseph Heywood, book 2 in a fiction series about conservation officers/DNR officers in the U.P. (of Michigan).
