Also, Jenno intends to be joining us with Alpha for a while. Should work that out.

I also know Trist has been planning involvement, but we haven't done anything there yet. Probably should.

Yeah, Jaxxy was gonna tag along with Tyler, but she kinda vanished. I've been waiting to see if she came back, but it's been a while. I think it's time to make the trip without her. I'm sure she can tag along next time Vam feels suicidal enough to go to Dantooine.

Yea, so for Alpha, him getting on the planet is easy enough to blag using his super stealthy assassin-y skills. As for joining the group, I've had this image in my head of them finding him amongst the corpses of a few Sith soldiers after they got hostile with him and then he killed them. Then there'd undoubtedly be some form of hostility between Alpha and some of the DLA folks because he's not all there in the head and I don't see him being instantly trusted (but I also don't see him submitting to being any sort of prisoner).

I think he'd want to stay around them to observe them, to try and learn how they act as people so that he can take try and learn to be a person, and by helping out along the way.

So I'm not sure if there's a way in which this idea can be facilitated, but that's basically the image I've had in my head.

Ok, I'm going to get started with my plottage. It has been in the works for a while now (between Lemur, Rugs, and myself), and it's about time to get crackin'!

The OOC reason for this plot line is to ultimately get Nom's letter offworld to his lady friend. IC, Vam will have been hired by some wealthy individuals with familial ties to Dantooine to smuggle in supplies for the oppressed populace. He'll get through, but not without notice. The Sith will be there when he lands at the drop point. They take his ship, and are about to arrest him when the DLA ambushes them. That puts him on planet, hooks him up with the DLA, and his captured ship offers him a way off planet once it is liberated. However, I'm not looking to get him off of Dantooine immediately. so, any questions/ideas/suggestions?

will Vam have connections directly with the DLA? Or are we looking at something the DLA just happens to pick up on?

I was thinking something the DLA picks up on. The shipment is supplies for the people of Dantooine. He knows nothing of the DLA.

FYI Folks, the DLA is still being revamped and such, but once myself, Meira and Rugs have a bit more free time, we'll iron out what's next for the DLA.

HERE WE GO! THE BIG INTRO MISSION TO RESTART THE DLA!

Thread Title: Stronger, Louder, Tougher
Objective: Let the Sith know: The DLA is back!
Details:

Overview-

It has been a year since Dutch Sampson had entered his coma. With it came a lull within the ranks of the DLA. Sorrow and failure has continued to plague the rag-tag group of rebels. The Sith have taken advantage of this. Smog City is a metropolis of smut and sleaze. The Baroness has declared that the 'Kylah Voritor' had been killed by Colonel Shaw. Citizens of Dantooine have begun to despair as well. Harsh working conditions, harsher taxes, and a life once lived free stifled by the iron gauntlet of the Sith.

A rumor has spread amongst the people though.

Not only is the DLA still around, but rumors of folk seeing Dutch at Flint and Smog City has ignited many hearts.

The rumors are true. And the DLA are about to make their grand emergence soon...

OK so here we go, the mission is cut and dry, but can be an excellent opportunity for character development and relationship building.

So after months of recovery, Dutch is fed up with not being able to do anything but rehab and look over disturbing reports of Sith actions and of despairing folk across Dantooine. After careful plotting with Mo and the DLA cell within Smog City, a plan has been made:

Contact has been made with Freckled Mary, leader of the Smog City group. Soon the Baroness will have one of her rallies, mandatory to be seen. These events are broadcasted around Dantooine, into every home, business and base. The plan? Crash her rally, kick some ass, and announce to the entire planet that the DLA is back: Stronger, Louder and Tougher than ever before!

So, this is going to consist of a few threads. It'll start out as the main one, listed here. The DLA will crash the rally, fight some Sith, and then Dutch/Mo and crew will get onstage and face off with the Baroness.

This thread will have as many DLA as want to join!

Basically, after that thread, is when Sith reinforcements arrive. What happens next? BOOK IT YO!

I wanna see threads from everyone about just how their characters escape Smog City. It's a vaaaaaaast dirty metropolis, ripe for some amazing stories. Meira and I are already taking Dutch/Mo for a ride in their escape thread, can't wait to see what else ya'll make!

Well, I talked to Meira about this a little bit, don't think it'd make much sense for Alpha to go, since there are going to be cameras there and he'd want to avoid those. Not to mention it's more than likely the DLA doesn't really trust him much at all yet. But I would be open to him trying to help rescue some folk.
