Name: Raeg Vashin.
Race: Falleen (Mutation).
Age: 167 years.
Height: 5.0 feet.
Weight: 103 pounds.
Appearance: Vashin's body is barely recognisable anymore. Its head and neck are both grotesquely large and muscular, while the rest of the body merely dangles beneath, little more than skin and bones. Usually, this abomination has a custom-built suspension chair to support the massive bulk of its head, but when it wants to get out of the chair, it floats about half a metre above the ground, with the head moving from side to side at times, and the body just hanging beneath, occasionally twitching or lifting an arm. He has green eyes and grey hair. As with all Falleen, he can change his skin color into many different hues For clothing he wears a dark robe, which would also be fit for a young child.
Personality:
Raeg Vashin is the ultimate cynic, uncaring and oblivious. Nothing bothers it - everything is just another problem to crush beneath its iron heel. Its huge mind can process information with a speed comparable to that of a machine. As such, it acts purely based on logic - it has long ago lost the last traces of humanity that it might have possessed. It wants to crush both the Jedi and the Sith, for no one shall stand in its way. Its dream is that of a universe ruled by logic and devoid of emotion. It will stop at nothing to achieve its goal. And the word patience gets a completely new meaning when one's plans span centuries.
Birth place: Falleen.
Faction: Dark Jedi.
Rank: Prophet.
Biography:
"This one was doomed from the beginning."
- Terin Arxxes
Raeg Vashin started out his life as an ordinary Falleen on a planet in the Mid Rim. He was born into a powerful family. His parents were Rozan and Matre. Vashin seemed to be nothing special - it was weak, always keeping its nose in books. However, its huge Force potential quickly revealed itself. His parents realized that this kind of power could be useful in the future. And so, they found an old Jedi who could serve as his teacher. This was to transpire in the palace itself, for they would not send their only child to the Jedi Academy, with the risk of him losing touch with his true purpose, which was succeeding his father as a merchant. Some weeks later, the teacher arrived. Unbeknownst to anyone else however, the old man, named Terin, had studied a small part of the Dark Side’s lore. He planned on expanding his knowledge, taking the young Falleen as his apprentice. Vashin was to learn what Terin knew of both the Force and of lightsaber combat. Terin taught him techniques, horrifying techniques. As a former Jedi Master, hte old man had been taught the deepest secrets of the Force - he had been corrupted by the dark side knowledge that he had obtained. He started by teaching Raeg simple powers - how to lift a small rock, for example. However, upon attempting this, Vashin accdentally created an energy outburst, killing two guards. Terin reflected upon this. His apprentice had needed some way to focus on his powers... With so little, he had literally thrown two guards through a door. This was not unheard of before, but it was certainly not common either - such massive outbursts of power despite so little training. There was obviously a talent for telekinesis there, but he needed to be able to focus his powers - he had hated the guards, he wanted them to let him be. He had killed them. Horryfying of course, but also immensely powerful... Yes, this one certainly had potential. To train him might prove dangerous...
However, the young Falleen’s body began degenerating relatively quickly. Had he not lived his life as secluded as he did in the family’s palace, then perhaps he would not have been able to evolve in such a way. His childhood was dramatic, with both his parents being murdered by an assassin. Unbeknownst to Raeg, they were not the true rulers of their business - merely figureheads for someone with a thirst for power. His father had opposed a Hutt, who, although honest, did not appeal to him. This was not good, as the Hutt was the one to provide most of the raw materials for the company (Having taken it over after an old Weequay). After this, the young apprentice was filled with rage and thirst for revenge, making his turn to the dark side a thing that was easily achieved by his master. Already at 15 years of age, he was to assume the leadership of his family’s trading company. He did so without showing any fear, though he already then suspected that the killer who had murdered his parents might, in fact, be some of their own bodyguards. This thought filled him with silent horror, for what should one do, if even one’s own, personal guards were not to be trusted? However, his advisors assured him that this was not the case. Terin, in turn, taught him how to mask his emotions, to an outsider seeming to be completely devoid of emotion. He began controlling his fear, allowing him to avoid showing any emotions at all. This became a merciful gift in the mazes of politics that he had to navigate now. Everyone seemed to know what was best for him, yet his closest advisors made sure that if someone troubled him, they were removed swiftly and silently - something was very wrong indeed.Terin assured him, that his powers were already growing strong enough to fend off most attempts at assassination, and that the old, fallen Jedi would protect him with whatever power was granted the old master. This comforted Vashin for a while, just enough to avoid him raising questions.
"Weak in body, yes... And yet, I am still stronger than you."
- Raeg Vashin, adressing one of his guards
Over the years, he would use his own body less and less, relying on his marvelous powers, which was by then regarded as magical. Slowly, the Falleen became more and more powerful, his master thrilled by this fact. Yet, everyone became his enemy. Behind every curtain he saw a knife, in every dish of food served for him, he sensed poison. His bodyguards could not be trusted. He attempted at putting on a face that would make him appear calm, but in reality, he only relied on his own master, who in term gained access to more and more of the forbidden knowledge as the years progressed. Raeg’s family empire began to expand, controlling most of the planet’s export. He, however, cared little for money, politics and political power, wanting something more. He wanted power over people’s minds, rather than power to enslave them out of fear. He sought to control others without them knowing it. This was, of course, encouraged by Terin, who wanted this power for himself.
Terin told Raeg to start showing himself among his people, in order to understand them better, and perhaps control them eventually. Then one day, he got separated from his escort during a parade. At this point, he was already in his hoverchair, escaping frantically from unseen forces - his entire life, he had been told that getting lost was equal to death. He found a wall. Very tall, it was. He began following it out of curiosity. It did not end - what was this? By now, he realized it - this was what had kept him from the outside world all this time. Inside these walls was his kingdom - but it was not all of Falleen. It was a small section, but what did this mean? He had to avoid the questions that pressed on, knowing that this was what had killed his parents. He was not the master of this planet, but rather a figurehead for... Something else. He quickly found the palace and his guards, merely telling them that he had been waiting for them all the time in the very same spot. When he spoke to Terin of this matter, the old man laughed. He revealed to Raeg that he had not been allowed to tell Raeg of this, but that he would have, for it would encourage him to seek out the true power of the Force even faster than he already did. Raeg merely answered that those who tried to keep him from whatever it was that he could not see outside would soon be witnesses to, what the dark side of the Force was capable of accomplishing.
What Raeg did not know about Terin was that he was actually an old Jedi master. Though he was now only a shadow of his former self, he had been exiled from the order for his studies on how to expand the mind tricks of the Jedi into something more... Complete control of a sentient mind, for example. It was achiveable with non-sentient beings, so why not sentient ones? The Jedi High Council expelled him from the order immediatly upon discovering this research. Terin had fallen from his prime long ago, unable to prove his hypothesis. However, this young Falleen was able to read his mind when he first entered the room. His mind. A former Jedi master. His student showed great promise, as they began working their way up by bringing in a number of Gammorean slaves. Simple beings that were easy to manipulate. Slowly, they worked their way up towards influencing more and more intelligent beings, with more than a few casualties along the way. Terin became slightly afraid of Raeg. He did not seem to care when one of his subjects died, even trying to repet the process which could kill several times. Terin disencouraged this, but Raeg did not care - like a child upon an insect hive, he did things just to see if they could be done, and to see what happened when he did. This feature began showing itself more and more as time progressed. Terin felt a chill down his spine, as Raeg managed to create his first puppet - making the Gungan dance and twirl, until he eventually made it pick up a blaster and point it to the creature's own head. Raeg smiled, as the laser burned through its brain.
"I will speak no more on the matter of the Sith. Do not question me again."
- Terin Arxxes, last words.
The trading company was in trouble. Vashin, the heir to the merchnt empire that his family had built, was being corrupted by his training with Terin. He had learned to control his body in was so that nearly all energy could be diverted from the main body to his brain, the only part that he considered important. The dark nature of his experiments with mindwiping could not be concealed, and as so, all this began corrupting him. But rather than turning gray and bloated, his body began shrinking. His head, on the other hand, was expanding at an unnatural rate. Within a few years, his appearance was rather grotesque. He had to commision for a hoverchair to carry his diminished physical body and bulbous head, for his muscles were no longer up to the task. This, of course, made sure that the arisocrats running the company would try to keep him away from the eyes of the public. Instead, they built a wall to encompass a few kilometres of the family's ground, making sure that those living there were loyal to the true rulers of the company. Raeg began scheming. This was yet another one of his talents. He had a mind that now was greatly increased, giving him a far greater mental capability. He was an expert at imagining what would happen if he did something, seeing the invisble strings that connected it to the rest of the galaxy. He began training himself at this, casually imagining what would happen if he, say, fired one of his guards. The family of that guard would starve, the guard would eventually hang himself as his youngest child died of famine, and another man would marry the widow. Vashin retreated into his own world slowly. He wanted something completely unexpected. He became obsessed with his training and these strains of thought, so obsessed in fact, that he could not see what was happening around him.
For several decades, Raeg planned his escape. The true rulers of the family trading empire could, of course, not lose their precious figurehead, and, as such they quickly sensed his rebellious ways. They did not fear him, for close to everyone in the castle obeyed them. Raeg could not name these people, but he knew who they were – the advisors, the administrators, everyone else basically. His paranoia grew over the years, being furthered by the fallen Jedi Terin, who was by now nearing the end of his natural lifespan. He looked forward to a peaceful retirement during the last couple of years of his life, swimming in the riches of his Falleen apprentice’s family – however that was not to be. One day, he accidentally mentioned the Sith, having tried to avoid the subject thus far, due to the fact that he himself despised them. He had this weird feeling that, although presumed extinct, they were still alive, wanting to punish him for his learning their secrets. His student wanted to learn more about them, but Terin exclaimed that he would not pusue the matter any further. This, in turn, enraged Raeg. He had depended upon Terin as his only reliabl source of information, and now he had to redeem this trust? It was too much, and as the old man turned his back on Raeg, the Falleen snatched a decorative Vibrosword from its place on the wall beside him with the Force, driving it through Terin’s body. As the old man lay dying, he regarded his pupil with terror. What kind of monster had he created? This was the way of the Sith. He drifted into nothingness with the thought that he would unleash upon the galaxy what he hated most now – yet this would later be proved incorrect.
Several years later, as he was sitting in his library, Vashin was ambushed by his own guards. They entered the room and rushed towards him, their pikes ready to penetrate his robe. However, he was prepared, and as the first two reached him, they were sent flying into a wall. The others backed down, as Raeg had not moved one bit. Then, suddenly, they all began screaming. The Falleen watched without any sign that it touched him, as he destroyed their minds, one before another. As they rose, the remaining five guards were completely under his control – he was delighted, as he sent the elite bodyguards out on a hunt for anyone alive within the palace. He himself made a daring escape by levitating his hoverchair out of the window of his library, an incredible danger for his weak body. He escaped in a small spaceship, which contained guests from another planet, who were trying to do business with his family corporation. They thought that his appearance meant that he saw them as important – this, however, was not the case. He assessed control of those needed to fly the ship through the Force, killing everyone else on board. He then regretted this, thinking to himself that he might need more members. And as so, he went out again, taking anyone with him that was able to fly the ship. After this, he threw a container with fuel onto a fire, immediately engulfing the entire plaza in flames. He himself created a Force Barrier, shielding himself until he entered the ship, and escaped the planet. The ship was filled with fuel containers and dried food and, as such, could fly for years to come.
"They're here! There! Everywhere! I... URGH!"
Tallik Nestron, Twi'Lek pilot, last words.
The ship landed on Korriban, finally in need of fuel. Raeg knew little of the galaxy, having landed on a dead planet. However, the area in which the ship landed was filled with the ferocious Hssiss lizards. In search of fresh meat, they quickly discovered the exotic members of the ship's crew. Within a few hours of their arrival, the ship crew were overwhelmed by uncounted numbers of the shrouded beasts. As everyone around him started to fall, Raeg formed a vortex around himself with the power of the Force, sucking in both crewmembers and beasts. As they all swirled around him, still fighting, he sent all of his power outward, creating a massive explosion that leveled the land around him. He created a Force bubble around himself and buried his body, resting for several years.
"This galaxy will worship me, whether these weak scum will it or not!"
- Raeg Vashin
Then, after resting, he resurfaced. His ship and everything else was gone... Dead. How much time had passed? The Sith had not expanded their holdings, but rather some of the landmarks that he had seen had crumbled since then, so it had been more time than he had at first calculated that he would need for resting. The thought amused him, as he took control of a ship, flying to the first urban planet that he could think of. He found Nar Shadaa, where he hid himself for a long time, before reemerging, with a new ship, a new crew, a new suspension chair, and a new purpose: To lay this galaxy before his feet, as he had done to his planet long ago. Nothing would stand in his way. Not for long, at least...
"You... You monster!"
"Oh, please. It that the best you can do? Pitiful, little Jedi."
- Qogrin Frantlu and Raeg Vashin, after the killing of the Padawans.
As Vashin explored this strange, alien galaxy, he found the Republic and the Sith. His old teacher, Terin, had not touched a lot upon these factions, and so they both seemed new to him. They were everywhere, it seemed. A nuisance that had to be removed, he did not differ much between the two; they were with him, or they were against him. He spent some time exploring the history of these two factions, beoming more interested in the real thing as time progressed.
At one point, he descended upon Coruscant, the mighty city-that-is-a-planet. He had heard that this was where the Jedi lived, and as such, wanted to find some. Floating in his suspension chair, he found two Jedi Padawans and their supervisor, a relatively young Jedi knight. This called for a test of these beings' strength, obviously, so as the three turned their backs on the grotesque creature, he used the power of the Force to crush the body of one Padawan, while removing his lightsaber from its hiding place, and sending the other Padawan flying into a wall. The other's lightsaber Raeg also snatched with his Force Telekinesis. The young Jedi Knight was terrified. These two young boys, barely out of their Youngling training, killed with cold blood... The Knight charged Vashin, who was amused. He simply lifted the two newly-made sabers up in front of him, one blue and one green. The Knight ignited his own saber, a purple one. Raeg smiled, as the two floating sabers moved towards the Jedi, who sent them flying with ease. As he became unaware for a single moment, the Falleen lifted his body using the Force, and threw it out of the window, not to hit the ground before several minutes later. Raeg caught the man's lightsaber and let him fall. He threw all three lightsabers away and left one of his crewmembers unconcious on the site. As he went back to his ship, he thought to himself, that this might prove easier than he had first calculated.
"Mandalorians? Why yes, someone has to make me look even more intelligent."
- Raeg Vashin
With his newfound sense of optimism, Raeg went on a hunt to find a ship and a crew. After some time, he managed to hijack a small freighter, which he flew to Mon Calamari, operating everything through Force manipulation. This was very taxing, and he rested for several months, while some improvements were made - defence lasers were installed, a hyperdrive was added, and so on. Afterwards, he used his Force powers to control the weak minds of the workers, allowing him to use them as personnel.
Since then, he has traveled from planet to planet, killing whatever Force users he could find and enslaving the weak-minded. He looks at the galaxy indifferently, accepting everything as change and every problem as a thing to overcome.
After this, he went to Onderon, in search for the warrior-race known as Mandalorians. He had heard of this race, and wished to add a few to his crew as trophies. They were supposedly especially tough, perhaps even presenting a challenge to him. However, he was not certain about their location, except it being one of the planet's moons. He went to Onderon, sending one of his mind-slaves as emmisary, due to his own distorted appearance. As he found out about the Mandalorian settlement on Dxun through a merchant, he immediatly set off for the planet. Using his Force Barrier to shield himself from the uncomfortabilities of the jungle, he found a small scouting force. As the first Mandalorians ambushed him and his crew, he used his telekinesis to send the first couple into a sheer cliff. His crew a living shield, he killed more Mandalorian by breaking various bones on each of them. More than twenty crewmembers fell, but he cared little for their lives - they were expendable. Eventually, he managed to subdue the last few for just long enough to assume control of them. As he left the planet, he took with him five Mandalorians as slaves.

A man went down a hallway, his walk a stiff, military one. He was relatively tall, wearing a military suit that seemed to cling to his skin. As he reached the end of the corridor, he took a deep breath before entering the door that he know faced. The room on the other side was cold, very cold in fact, and completely empty, save a large chair in the other end of the room, which was facing a wall that displayed a map of the galaxy. The man's face turned to the chair. It was floating. Good, the master was awake. His master rarely ever slept, but would not be disturbed, when he did. The chair turned to face the man, who now saw the grotesque figure of its inhabitant.
Yes?
That was not a sound, but rather a thought. The man was familiar with being adressed in this peculiar manner - he knew this as telepathy. His master never spoke normally, but always adressed others by the use of telepathy. The man started talking.
"It seems that there is a rogue jedi hiding on the planet of Telos. He lives in the Restored Area of the planet, along with wild beasts. It is just a rumour, yet a persistant one."
The being in the chair turned and looked at the map. For several seconds, there was not a sound to be heard in the room. Then the master turned again.
I can confirm this rumour - but why would the Jedi hide there? It would seem that there are several other places in the galaxy, where better refuge could be had. This must mean that the Jedi is also running from someone else and, as such, does not need our attenteion at this moment, as he will probably be killed off anyhow. You have more to tell me?
The man was always impressed with his master's quick prescience, and continued:
"Yes. We have caught a spy in the storage room."
The door opened, and two empty-eyed guards entered the room. Between them they carried a small, female Rodian. They left her on the floor, and exited the room. Raeg regarded the Rodian, who rose onto her feet and started crying.
"Please! I... I didn't mean to! I have a family! I..."
She could say no more, before Raeg had forced her onto her knees. She felt a stabbing pain throughout her entire body, and shuddered.
I would appreciate it, if you did not lie to me. I disregard liars.
The Rodian looked in fear at the abomination in front of her.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Please spare my life, please!"
Still, Raeg regarded her indifferently.
Know that I have no plans involving your death, as of this moment. I do, however, wish to add you to my staff.
The Rodian looked at him.
"WHAT?!"
Raeg would have smiled, but he found the gesture to be unneeded. instead, he continued.
As of this moment, I am purging your mind to make room for my own control. This may hurt a bit.
As he finished sending this message, the Rodian started screaming. She rolled about on the floor in uncontrollable muscle spasms. She gasped for air.
Do not worry, it will be over in a few seconds.
The Rodian screamed and screamed, and then, suddenly, she stopped. She rose, and got onto her feet.
"Master."
Raeg looked at her.
Go help the others. You know what to do.
The Rodian's empty look said it all.
"Yes, my master."
As she exited the room, Raeg turned its chair once again. The man decided to walk away, following the Rodian. Raeg allowed himself a small smile, before returning to his business.
