Jackal - Being a faction whose holy mission is to gather knowledge, it? would fit right in. On the other hand, it might be a factor that would cause it? to be antagonistic towards in an effort to steal it....for some reason....I don't know.

Hey, I was kinda thinking...but since I figured referring to the baddies always by just saying Unum, wasn't worthy of a cool faction like the Mythos, so I figured I would come up with a cool name for them. All that has gotten me to...duh duh da duh:

The Mythic Dawn. I'm sure Rugs will see the reference there, but it seemed appropriate to name a super evil faction that.

While the reference isn't lost on me, I do believe that the Unum will remain the Unum, or Potissimus Egregius Unum, if you want to use the full name.

So, I was talking to Jace while looking at pictures like this from Eyafdklsafnhdslafndslafndslaf's eruption in Iceland and it got me to thinking: What if the Mythics got word of the Unum being up to nefarious activities on Ipilya, the largest island in a chain of islands (which is basically sideways Hawaii) in the Atea ocean. Of course, a group would be dispatched to look in to it, and BAMMO! boom goes the volcano :3 Now, of course they'd find their Unum targets and a battle would ensue while said eruption was occuring. There's also the fact that there's a fairly large city that's basically in the volcano's armpit, which could lead to an interesting dynamic with some people perhaps trying to help with an evacuation (while potentially being harried by Unum members) or something of the sort.

Anyway, bit of a mini-update: Moved Garnet (now Onyx) around to reflect the role Jackal wants him to play now, as a sort of enemy/nuisance to the Mythics. Of course, that also means we need some way to introduce him as such, so any ideas are welcome.

I've also added little blurbs about the leaders of the two major factions--the High Elder for the Mythics, Saine, Niirdassa for the Unum--to have that information in a more easily accessible place, rather than just mentioned in the faction app page. I also think that some other NPCs might be added to the People of Interest section, so we have an idea of who's who. So, if you have some NPC in mind, or some significant person from your char bio you'd like a little blurb about (a blurb that you are free to write >.>) just yell at me.

And to end, with Wulf in the edits phase, Cruentus being chipped away at, and Math nearly complete, I think we're at the point where we can start looking around to see who's interested in doing what/throwing out some more thread ideas/other things like that so we can actually get this thing rolling.

Alrighty, so Rugs gave me the go ahead to start the first thread.

Basically, it's going to start with the Mythics visiting some of Aiaru's ruins, a picture of which is up in the thread. The reason and organization of which, I shall leave up to the characters who actually care about such things. xD Iri just things the mountains are pretty.

Anyway, it's a short hike to the temple, and once they do their thing, or whatever, the Unum forces are going to ambush the mythics, and after having realized that Iri is the telepath that was messing with their heads, they're going to end up kidnapping her... somehow... yeah, anyway. X)

I'd say keep going for now, Arh will probably be around for conferring on the matter shortly anyways. =3 Perhaps if we're getting really far ahead without him being aware/logging on we can wait for a bit to check?
