You are a cruel, cruel human being, Rugs. Cruel.
Can I help?
For those of you who don't know, internet is extremely scarce for me 5/7s of the time during the summer months. It has, however, been far too long since I posted in here. For the time being, any of my rishii's posts will be fairly separated from the immediate thread proceedings, so feel free to travel at your own pace. I'll catch up when I can. ^ v ^

Cruentus: ~_~
Lawl but considering our banter in the current thread, I think it could be quite entertaining if we went on a 'shopping' holiday to Demas or something of that nature.
Cruentus: *flirts with random female* Random Female: Can I see your staff? Cruentus: Which one?

I concur! A road trip to Demas could be a lovely chance for bugging Cruentus some character interaction :3
Edit: Also, after much prodding, Silas' Abermathyia now has a skeleton/link in the first post.

So, I had a few things pop into my head while I was driving around on some errands today. Bear with me, since I haven't really put much thought into them, but I figured I'd throw them out there to see what you guys think anyway. The first was spurred by thinking of the temple and surrounding ruins that we're currently playing around in in Antediluvian Peril, and part of Arh's post in An Unwelcome Holiday, where he points out that, though Aiaru's only been colonized by outsiders for about 800 years, there are remains of some ancient civilization--like the temples that are scattered across Aiaru's surface. So the thought was--assuming that whoever made up this civilization is long dead--it could provide something interesting for our characters to look into, given that there's probably not much information on these people. Perhaps they were the native Aiaruans (Aiarans? Aiari?) *shrug* Like I said, just a thought, though it might be able to tie into a few threads. The other things came on the heels of that, when I remembered that I added a few islands off the coast of Eostre to Aiaru's map a while back. Namely, these islands. Haven't thought of a name for them, but I might go with the Shattered Isles or something, though that would be breaking from the tradition of naming everything on Aiaru after a deity. But the name isn't the important part >.> What I was thinking is that these islands would be a mystery, more or less. I'd had the thought that, over the years several expeditions could have been sent out to them, but in the same way that expeditions into the Aethon desert were stopped because of the flesh-eating sandstorms, they could have been stopped because, for reasons unknown, the people sent out there never returned. Or came back crazy. Or something. It should be obvious that I'm thinking that our group of etherium-snorting troublemakers would, for some reason, get sent there. Or maybe they'd end up there by accident, through a ship wreck or emergency landing. What would be out there? I don't know, though I'm sure there'd be some nasty beasties, if nothing else. Might be able to tie it into the lost natives of Aiaru, if anything comes of that. But right now I just figured I'd toss the ideas out there before I forgot. Anyway, now that those are out of my head, what do you guys think?

Dare I ask if the inspiration for this came from the Shimmering Isles? I do rather like the idea of delving further back into Aiaru's past. Maybe some sort of lost civilization still exists on these islands. Maybe they smoke unrefined etherium (hence the crazy people). Maybe I'll be able to find a reason to get the librarian to tag along once again.
....does this mean I have to go make ANOTHER species? Or 7?

It wasn't directly drawn from the Shivering Isles, or at least not consciously, but yeah, I can definitely see some similarities there. Especially if we go the route of having people come back crazy >.>
And yeah, maybe some of the first Aiaru people still live there in some fashion, or some sort of descendants of them. *shrugs* Like I said, I haven't put a whole lot of thought into this yet xD Though it might be interesting if they knew the first Mythics in some capacity, if the ancient people are still around, or if they at least knew of their arrival. Of course, if they knew the first Mythics, then they'd have to find some way to keep their existence a secret...
Anyway, them using unrefined Etherium sounds awesome (y)
And I dunno on the species (read: yeah probably) Do you have more glowing animals locked away in that head of yours?
>.>
<.<
I do think the idea of some huge, scary beastie to face off against/run in stark terror from is kinda neat

xD That'd be laek...
Giant beast: *growls threateningly*
Iri: Oh he's saying hello!
Giant beast: *lunges*
Iri: He has such pretty teeth!
Wulf: *shoves Iri out of the way*
Anywho. :3 I think they both sound like epic ideas, expanding the world of the Mythics. ^^

=3 No, no, see, you'd have to shipwreck Cruentus on the Isles with Mathathyper. Because he'd be driving when they crash. *nod, nod*

I was thinking, since my Mythics character is going to be around 300 something years old, he could come to the isles sometime before Cruentus get's shipwrecked (if that's a possibility) then proceed to potentially think soup feelings and go hunt after Cruentus, when you Mythics come, interfere, then somebody uses Etherium or spills it or something, my Anzat character's soup feelings go away, and he experiences clear headedness, then decides to come with the Mythics. Or I could just write in all that through my bio like normal people

Ok, so when I was coming up with the idea, the thought was that there wouldn't be any PCs on the island before the group arrives. Obviously, the place is supposed to be mysterious, mystical, that sort of thing, and I want it to be something that all of our characters (or all those involved, anyway) discover together, y'know? So, suffice to say, I'm not too terribly fond of the idea of having some character being there before the rest arrive.
The Cruentus thing was a joke, obviously xDD
He's welcome to come with the rest, though. However they end up there... xD

Rugs: I have some plans for those isles as well, and they pretty much revolve around it being a moment of discovery for all of us as well.
Nighthawk: Sorry, buddy, but you can still go with the pm plan.
Silas: You're funny. How about redirecting that amazing creative mind into helping me with aforementioned horrifying beasty/Irisorrie's kitty.
