Sounds like a plan, Meira. I'm thinking that, continuity-wise, just based on Kvothe's behavior, Vesta showed up before Iri got kidnapped. So maybe if we do a skip the next thread with her could be after the whole thing with Iri is over and they have her back? Covers the span of a few days. Might be the simplest way to go about that.
And you can feel free to NPC if you want to :3

Alright, while most of our discussing these days happens through off-site means, I figured I'd post here since none of you are online and my memory's been known to fail me in the past.
So, the Edge of Dawn is still moving along decently enough. However, I know some of y'all have mentioned doing something beyond that thread to get events past it moving on, since the conclusion of the thread has by and large been forgone since the thread began. I'm of the same mind, and have even done that for Kvothe's more personal plots, but I think we can get some things going for the group.
So you guys good with the thought? And if so, what shall we do? I'm sure Meira has things for Vesta, and there's getting Iri reintroduced after being rescued from her captivity, etc
You thoughts, share them with me

So, ideas for Vesta were floated around a while back between myself and Rugs, and I think that what we had come up with would work for the Mythics as a whole... so here's the idea:
Vesta is a Vahla... the daughter of a high priestess no less. She doesn't remember her childhood prior to her life with a gray Jedi, but stuff has started to come back. In any case, the idea is that there's another Vahla (A Unum spy) who recognizes the significance of Vesta's scars and begins to get to know her/gain her trust.
Essentially, this spy is going to want to use Vesta, either unwittingly, or recruit her. Since Vesta is still quite new to the mythics... she's vulnerable. Now, this opens up some interaction, I think... and multiple threads.
If anyone wants to NPC the Vahla spy, let me know, I'd love to talk to you. Also, if anyone has something they think they could add to this, please let's hear it!!!
And of course, let's not stop with just this idea... what else are we thinking folks???

Oh, I am so very tempted to volunteer to NPC that spy. Unfortunately I really don't know how much time I'll have as school gets going and I don't want to stagnate any threads. v.v But if no one else comes forward, then I think I ought to be able to post on weekends. :3
And of course, I'm always happy to toss Iri in where applicable. ^^ And even when not applicable. xD

And I'm certainly fine with involving Kvothe in that plot where applicable. Or any other NPCs that might be needed along the way :3
I also remember a while back we talked about doing a more Unum focused thread for some of the Unum NPCs. Character development and all that, though I think it was mainly me and Kella talking xD Is that still a thing?

Well the Mythics can't have all the fun by themselves. We have a rather chock-full ossumunpuckle*, no use letting it go to waste.

EXAMPLE:[/u]
______________________________________________________
Name: Euclidius Abscissa Gender: Male Race: Bith Rank/Division: Mathemamythic Summary: Belonging to a race of near-sighted, logical, virgin insomniacs, it was really little surprise to anyone that the somewhat isolationist Euclidius Abscissa (though no one believes that is his actual name) would immediately find his calling among the ranks of the most recent philosophical division of the Stellar Mythics: The Mathemamythics! Once a university physicist on a backwater planet in the outer rim, Euclidius' Mythos sensitivity went unnoticed by the Jedi causing him to develop an agnostic belief that the powers he possessed were born of sheer understanding of the mathematical principles that governed them and not of any mystical forces. Holding nothing but contempt for the Jedi order he considered ignorant and fanatic, he fled their influence and reestablished himself on Aiaru among a group of similarly-gifted individuals whose deity was knowledge itself. He refuses to carry any weapons besides an abacus and a graphing calculator (and dangerous weapons these be in his hands).

My linear factorization is perfectly defined within the eccentricity of the acute angle. Also, the fact that you can't even alter the mythos proves my superior intellect.

I am alright with this
Also, I've been struck by an idea while sitting here wasting time between classes:
I was reading a story about an explosion at an oil refinery in Singapore when the thought of a similar sort of thing happening (accidentally or otherwise) at an etherium processing center. I suppose the basis of the thread could be sending some people in and helping workers and the like get out a bs investigating what happened. Or something. Maybe helping evacuate nearby civillians I'm not even sure what the etherium processing... uh, process is like. Or if this is a stupid idea or not.
But I figured I'd share.
Also, the idea of it happening near a population center and the effects of some of the populace exposed to etherium dust or something is amusing. Much like the thought of a marijuana field catching fire.
Thoughts/chance to call me stupid?

With Mathathyper's olfactory fur, I imagine he'd be swimming in fumes, and thus mostly (more) incoherent for the duration of the thread. :3 Sounds like fun.
