Adrian walks into the council with Zul and Vex (hopefully) by his side. The young knight immediately bows in respect towards the veteran Jedi and keeps his face fairly serious.
I have come before you master's to request that you allow me to take Zul Ckar to be my Padawan, and that he accompany me along with Jedi Knight Vex Andross to Subterrell on the assignment you have given me.
Adrian continues to stand in the center of the Council members awaiting his approval or disapproval.

Vex stood calmly by Adrian's side as he made his proposal to the council. He clasped his hands in front of him and waited patiently for the Council to object to him going on this mission. It was still fresh on his mind: the murder of his master. It still weighed upon him, but he knew if he stayed at the Temple much longer he would start doubting his own abilities as a Jedi.

Zul waited for the councils decision about Zul having a new master and if the Jedi Knight Vex could join Adrian on his mission

Indecipherable whispers filled the room as the council members looked amongst themselves. Perhaps it was that the Knight did not know the gravity of what he was asking. Such requests were suspect, as one Jedi on a mission grew instantly to three, and the predictability of the situation dropped. Every instinct, every precedent, and every piece of logic demanded that the Council reject the request. And, yet, the Council did the exact opposite. Should one have reflected on this, they might wonder exactly why the Jedi Council would grant such a request when there was no benefit or reason for it. Of course, nobody would probably ever wonder this, and even if they did, they wouldn't like any answer they found.
Master Hehe opened his mouth to speak, but was silenced by one of the other masters, a rare event that did not happen unless the situation warranted it. Eyes from the other Masters pressed the small creature to remember something. Finally, the Master spoke. The words were short and to the point.
"Your request is approved. Ckar shall continue his training under you, and Andross will accompany you. The three of you will leave immediately. May the Force be with you, for your sakes..."

Adrian bowed most respectfully as he looked at all the council members.
I thank you masters, and we will do as you ask
The young knight turned around as his cloak fluttered behind him. He usually didn't wear the Jedi robes like some of the older Jedi as he had come to notice, but rather the robes always fluttered behind him with the wind rather than completely on him.
Leaving the Council's presence he immediately went towards the hangar, and after filling out the proper forms registered himself for a transport vessel.
So I must admit that I am not the best person to have piloting ships. Do any of you wish to take on the task of getting us to Subterrell?
(don't have a hangar thread, but don't want to continue the conversation in council thread...Mod please advise)

Jedi Master Meenu Baumm stood before the council.
"You have requested us for a purpose?"
The Archivist asked.
Master Hehe turned and spoke, as always.
"It has been too long, Master Baumm. Eighteen years too long. We have watched you as you operate in the Archives, and we do not like what we see."
Master Baumm nodded.
"Have I failed in my duties somehow?"
Master Hehe slammed a hand down.
"We are not fools, Master Baumm. We can sense the turmoil within you. It has been there since you first joined the Archives. At first, we disregarded it as grieving. But you do not grieve for your student any longer, do you, Master Baumm?" Master Baumm shook his head.
"Your isolation, we fear, has caused the continued turmoil. We will be clear on this point. You can not continue on your current path any further. The Force is not boding well with you. A change must occur."
The Ortolan sighed.
"Shall I again act as a Watchman? Shall I leave the Archives?"
Master Hehe chose his words carefully. All knew this was dangerous ground.
"You... we feel it is time... that you took on another padawan..."
Meenu thought it over for a moment.
"Very well. But I shall choose."
All gathered agreed, and Jedi Master Baumm left to begin his search for a student.
(Yeah, it's not my best work. Just meant to give Baumm something to do.)

Feevahe walked softly into the council chambers wearing the brown cloak or robes over his normal Jedi attire pushing his hood down. Only a small pattering sound echoed around the room as he headed towards the centre of the semi-circle of differently designed chairs, normally he would have stopped to meditate before entering the chambers, however due to his intense studying in the great archives; mostly work on ancient cultures which had died out maybe millennia ago, He had been unable to fully clear his mind, leaving it open slightly to probing from the elder Jedi's minds.
Masters, you summoned me?
He asked his mind still slowly playing over what they might have in store for him, a new mission would most likely be probable, the threat of the new Sith order and the rumours of Mandalorian upsets and rebellion had been praying on the minds of many of the younger Jedi's, some even brushing softly upon fear.
Sliding his hands behind his back he waited from the councils response, and started to slowly clear his mind as best he could in the short time he had.
The council members looked among themselves, it seemed that his presence had spurred them slightly. Naturally it was Master Hehe who spoke first.
“Don'ttt actt the foolll Knight Feevaheeeee, we knowww of the requessstttt you woulddd askk of uss”
The master retreated slightly back into his chair, looking slightly tired, the other masters looked among themselves, agreeing with one another that his request was not able to be granted, Master Hehe was about to speak again but one of the older masters silenced him, turning his attention to the un-effected Feevahe.
“You are not to accompany your brother to Dantooine the presence of a Knight may shake the Sith and sith into unwanted hostility...”
Feevahe looked among the masters for a second, closing off his mind to them and keeping it clear, it was true that he was disappointed, he had wanted to ensure his brothers safety on his trip but now that seemed would be in the hands of his escort.
“You however are to go to subterel and meet up with the two knights all ready there...”
Feevahe was about to say something when another master spoke, deciding to enlighten him in the situation.
“We sense a disturbance in the force... for there safety we would like another knight monitoring the Sith and sith in the outer rim...may the force be with you”

Taren Koor had appealed to the Council to give him a Master. He felt he was ready to take the next step on his path of the Jedi. The Dorian Jedi youngling always longed for a true companion but he was restricted in the Temple where his appearance prevented him from bonding as the other, human, children did. Taren silently prayed that his master would fill that need for acceptance.
He wiped his hands on his robes and pressed the control panel that opened the entrance to the council chambers. Taren realized that this moment would shape the future of his Jedi career. He was thirteen, the council could either partner him with a master or send him away. His fate was in their hands, the sacrifice his parents had made in sending him away was in their hands.
"Masters? You have summoned me, have you chosen my next tutor, or do you see my path separate from that of a Jedi?"
Under his optical shades his eyes remained fixed on the masters of the council. It felt that one blink would shatter the silence he felt would never end.

Master Hehe, being one of the few Council members still present as the day wound to a close, pondered over the situation. Master Hehe was wise, but not quite circumspect. He saw this request as a possibility to relieve the Council of two burdens. Firstly, another young padawan not chosen by a Master. And secondly, the need for the Jedi Archivist to recieve a student.
To be fair, Master Hehe did not like either of these two. The small orange creature pretty much disliked any Jedi who was not above him in rank or who had not proven themselves above himself. Students not chosen, as well as masters lacking purpose, were among those the Council member mostly disdained.
So it seemed only to make perfect sense that these two annoyances should be taken care of in a like manner. With any luck, the Archivist and his new student would leave Coruscant and the Council could replace the sulky Master with one more competant.
"Your future among the Order has been decided. I trust you are familiar with the Archivist, Master Baumm? You will continue your training under him, beginning immediately. You may go."
He said, leaving himself to go to his own quarters.

And that was it... the hearing was over. All in a moment everything he had wished for was granted. A master, finally a companion. But he said Archivist... Taren had barley ever entered the Archives to learn from records. He always chose experience over books. This was good... he supposed.
Maybe this is what he needed to not only excell as a Fighter, but as a Jedi Hero he longed to become. He left the council and headed to his own quarters but he could not shake the feeling that he was being handed off. Well, he would just have to prove himself the better.

<Return from Subterrel>
Still favoring his left leg, Jedi Knight Vex Andross walked the halls of the Temple as he mentally prepared his report for the Council. They had given him and the others time to recuperate from their mission before the debriefing.
Jobe had done a swell job on healing the wound that troubled Vex's leg and had only need a small medpac to clean the rest of his wounds. He had barely walked in to the infirmary at the Temple before the medical staff there had sent him on his way. Having slipped into a healing trance on the hyperspace jump back to Coruscant.
Now he stalked the corridors not paying attention his surroundings and blankly giving greetings to those who acknowledged him. The events that had happened during their time on the mining colony troubled him deeply. He gathered his thoughts together and headed towards the Council Chambers where they awaited his report.
As he drew near the chamber doors he cleared his mind and calmed himself from the turmoil that rolled like waves inside of him. He heartily disagreed with the way things were handle while they were away. He wanted to petition the Council for him to take on Tal as his Padawan, but his report was of more importance. He held his head high the doors opened before him and he stepped into the tranquility of the Council's presence.
Good Evening Masters. I have come as summoned to give my report of the events that transpired on the mining colony of Subterrell.
(If you could CG I'd like you to NPC the Council. Thanks.)

Absent as of now was Master Hehe, and so, the discussion would have to be carried out by the other members of the Council.
Master Varanduu, another short-term member of the Council, responded first.
"Perhaps the news is good, yes? Perhaps it is not good, no? Perhaps there is to be no news from the Republic Forces, no? Or perhaps you come to us first with good news, yes? We are very much eager to know how the holding efforts on that world are, yes. Very eager to know how your preparations for an attack are going, yes."

Vex clasped his hands in front of him as he stood at ease amongst the Council. He took a deep, calming breath as he readied himself to report his failure on his mission.
Thank you for allowing me to address you. As you know Masters, I was to accompany Jedi Knight Adrian Yoley to Subterrell in lieu of patrolling the outer rim for Sith influences. When we first arrived to the mining colony all seemed to be going well. The small contingent of troops there were in a lax state of boredom.
Jedi Yoley took control of the military force there, including the militia. All seemed calm on the surface, but through the Force, the underlining seemed off. As if something was working its way up to happen. The situation at Subterrell grew worse when the alarms sounded and an explosion rocked the sector we were in.
Masters, Subterrell has fallen to the Sith. It seems that a small platoon of elite troopers sabotaged key systems in the core of the world to mask the invasion force. Dropships started to bring in wave after wave of Sith troopers. Myself and Jedi Yoley dispatched the first wave before we made our escape. The planet has been overrun.
Vex let his shoulders slump as he felt the burden of the report lift from him. He felt lighter and not as turmoiled as he was. He waited for the Councils reply.
