First, though, we should probably just straighten out who each of you all are working for.

I was thinking that one (Darvek or the hired thug NPCs) would be working from the mysterious businessbeing, and then the other (whichever is left) would be the ones hired by the nameless senator.

Might determine their species, but it might not. *shrug*
So maybe it doesn't matter. ;p



So just to clarify some things:

The aim for this thread is to just grab Ina, basically, and spirit her away to Boz Pity. And get her away from Ofi.
Then Ofi will go find help, eventually the Jedi.

I'm guessing it will be a relatively short thread... and I think we can skip the travel time.

The second/main thread will start right on Boz Pity. Where Ina is being held hostage, maybe interrogated, I don't know. Not sure if the 'man behind it all' will actually show up to talk to her (if so, I'll do the NPC). Mostly, this is just to send her a message.
And then eventually Ofi and the Jedi will come in to rescue her/fight the bad guys.
Then, happy ending. ;p



If this all seems good to everyone, I'll get the first thread started up as soon as I can.

Well, I was thinking me ('cause I'm starting it, haha) with a bit of an intro post, then you/the kidnappers with a bit of an intro, and then I'd go again, and in your second post, you'd get into the action.
For a few rounds, it'd probably just be us two. Ghostie and jutz would come towards the end, after Ofi goes off to find them.


I'm not a strict following of posting order normally, but with just two at the beginning of it, it's fairly easy to just go back and forth. ;p

However... There may be a slight modification in plans/how this plot will unfold. Talking to another member about a potential character has tickled my imagination. Something that would possibly involve also kidnapping her father.

I'm not sure whether it'll come to fruition, but I'll let you know either way. And either way, this should get up and running very soon.

Not sure if that's excitement for the new changes, or just starting the plot in general... ;p




But anyway, I thought I should explain myself and point out the changes that I'm considering.

I'd like to preface this, though, with the fact that even with the tweakings and additions, your three roles shouldn't really change all that much, and the only changes really would apply to Darvek anyway.


So I was approached with the idea of the kidnapping of Ina's father, for various reasons Arkanian-related in nature. And since this was too intriguing to pass up, and since I was already planning on having Ina kidnapped for a different motive, I thought, why not combine them?

I mean, one of my original ideas was something similar anyway: that someone wanted her father but kidnapped her as well so that he'd have a reason to help out the bad guys.

So that's what this would be. No longer would senators be behind her kidnapping, but it would be by this Arkanian Sith who wants to 'talk' to her father.

And so then Darvek would then be working for this Sith, either directly or indirectly, whatever works, when he kidnaps Ina (and possibly kidnaps her father, depending on the timing).


So Ghostie, Jutz, your roles would still be the same. Ofi would still come to the Jedi for help in rescuing Ina.

Grey... your role would be the same, except Darvek's employer would be different. And you probably wouldn't need to do an NPC anymore.

The location -- I'm not sure. I don't see why Boz Pity wouldn't still work, but I'm not 100%.


And, as far as you guys are concerned, yes, there will be the two threads, one with Ina's kidnapping, and the main one. (There will be a third now, with her father, but that'll be just me and lmr, which will happen before the other two).



But anyway, I'm glad you guys are all up for these changes.

Okay, guys, I just want to iron a few things out before I get things started... Mostly things like the location for the main/interrogation and rescue thread.


Here's how I see things going:

- Thread 1.a. -- Dr Rand (Ina's father) is working late in his lab on Arkania, as is his normal. This is where lmr's Sith Sobi would find him and subsequently kidnap him from. She would take him to whichever secret location is decided upon. (The idea was originally Boz Pity, to keep things neutral... but perhaps a change could be in place here). And she would start interrogating him about whatever it is she wants to know. I can't remember, lmr, what we had decided upon... if this has to do with his real research or just the company he works for or with something she thinks he knows about but he doesn't. Either way, she doesn't get far and thus puts into motion to kidnap his daughter.

- Thread 1.b. -- Ina is home at her apartment on Coruscant with her friend and droid Ofi. This is where Grey's Darvek would kidnap her from. He should be able to do this by himself, considering Ina is deaf and not exactly a fighter. The only problem would be isolating her from Ofi, who has weapons--a blaster and knife-tipped wings. And I do want them separated, so that Ofi can go for help. I'm not sure how you want to do this, Grey. And then Ina would be taken to the same secret location as Sobi took her father. It's up to Grey and lmr whether or not he knows she's a Sith or not... But my guess is you'd want to keep that part secret as well. And Ina is surprised to see her father there.


- Thread 2 -- This is where all the main action would take place, at the location we decide upon (Boz Pity, for the moment, but that may change). The interrogations and negotiations and all that. (I'm thinking only a brief taste in the first thread, but it'll be mainly in this one).
At the same time, Ofi has gone for help, seeking it from the Jedi. Ghostie and jutz' Jedi agree to Ofi's rescue plan. Somehow they find out where Ina has been taken to... perhaps Ofi uses Ina's necklace to locate her, or whatever.
?Meanwhile, Dr Rand's employer, Veridian, who is actually owned by Project Familiar (P.F.) finds out the scientist is missing and heads up a rescue effort. This part would be played by Talau/Sam.?
The Jedi and Ofi arrive (?as well as Sam and her team?)... a fight ensues with them and Sobi/Darvek (assuming he's still there; it's up to you, Grey, whether he's just dropping Ina off and departing) + NPCs (to add to fairness if Sam gets involved). Eventually, the Jedi (and others) prevail.







That's just kind of an outline... I'm totally open to any suggestions you guys have here.


Though I'm hoping to get this going in the next 2-3 weeks. So yay.
