Morse, the crew is a back-up plan in case things don't get rolling as fast as we like. We've been waiting quite a while now, not sure if people want to wait anymore. Vako will still get paid.

After conversing with a few other members of Spearpoint via Skype, we've come up with two possible locations for our first raid. One, a medical facility. Not a hospital, their won't be injured troops there. It would be more of an experimental facility, for testing weapons or new equipment. Second, a supply depot. It would be something small, nothing too big that would have a lot of defenses.

I like the idea of the supply depot. It'd be a valuable target of the organization to hit, just because anything taken would be worth something and the defenses aren't great. Low risk, high reward, especially in potential regard to reputation, its easily the better option.

Attacking the experimental facility, it's gonna be manned by eggheads and although there are going to be horrendously powerful forces, those forces will be several light years away. You'd have at the very least, about 15-30 minutes to carry out the raid before you get hammered into submission. If it really is an experimental facility, you'd have information and lots of it to sell alongside hundreds of prototypes that are all worth a fortune apiece. Additionally, there would also be ships and seeing the state of your navy on the faction page, you need every ship you can get, capture will be easy, send in some marines to kill off some of the eggheads and jump as soon as they get access to the bridge. There is the problem of the standby forces, but that is why you make it out before the 30 minute window.

With the supply depot idea, you gotta remember that attacking even a small one is going to be the equivalent of attacking a national guard armory. You may or may not have shock troopers, but that force is going to be pretty large and it's right there, so there will be some bitter fighting, also, they will have additional heavy forces but they'll only call them in when you get into the depot. The window will be about 1-2 hours. There is a very nice reward for a successful raid though, although you won't get any ships from it, there will be guns, generators, powerplants, light vehicles, and supplies for your own forces to use. Unfortunately, there won't be any direct payoff as you're not going to get anything from selling the stuff, though you might get lucky if you find some particularly juicy intel that the republic might want.

Attacking an 'experimental' facility with anything worth taking would likely have more security then any supply depot. And we'd have to find a place that has the things to take, which seems difficult in itself. There also isn't a large call for ships, since we wouldn't have the people to man them, and if we were in need of them, there are easier ways to get better ones.

The supply depot is just a matter of getting through whoevers there, and they're likely not nearly as experienced or prepared for the attack we'd send at them.

Now here's what I'm thinking...

Since we have so many people, it can get confusing having every single person in one thread. That being said, we'll probably end up doing it anyways, but later.

My character a a couple others (they know who they are) are headed to Coruscant. We're going to meet there and move to Oatara.

For those of you that forgot, Oatara is going to be our base of operations, thank you Lmr. Anyways, I'm thinking one introduction thread on Oatara with whomever wants to join in. You'll have to make your own way there. It's not like it's undiscovered, there is a settlement, so don't worry about having to find it. After that thread, we'll move onto our mission, which I'm leaning more towards the supply depot.

Thoughts?

I'll know for sure what mission we're doing by Oatara.

I think Ervisa will head off Coruscant for Oatara when she's clean, then find herself a job as a bush pilot flying the skies of Oatara. So she'll already be there when other people arrive.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing. Vako has a ship, and can get there on his own. The problem is I have no idea if I'm missing jumping into a thread or what I'm supposed to do right now.

In the meantime, I think some members are making their own threads on Oatara. I'd ask around.

EDIT: Okay, so here's how the thread is set up. Horst, Ethan, and Bit are in the tavern getting everyone's names. Your respective characters simply need to walk up, state their name and skills. Introduce ya' selves! You'll then be handed your dogtags, and be sent towards the choppers over in the air yard. Get on in and wait there to be whisked away to Candyland.

DOUBLE EDIT: For those members less active/inactive on the list here, they get a full 24 hours to post. If they fail to do so, we're moving on, and they'll have to enlist at a later point in some other thread.

I'm not really keen on the idea of getting a single post with which to get introduced to the faction, discuss the faction, and join the faction. It's not really possible for me to get recruited in that fashion. By which I mean I hate that idea with the fire of a thousand stars

So I'm going to request my own thread with one of you, so we can actually build up a serious recruitment with some one on one detail. Not so I can stand in line and have zero interaction with other characters.

I on the other hand am very much in favor of it, in the sense that it seems more realistic since this is practically a pirate group. Its literally a 'make your mark and get on the ship' sort of situation, which is what my character would be doing. - I prefer to keep things quick, and I hate posting orders, but we'll see how it goes. - and put a link to the thread in particular so I know where to go. (I'm not getting skipped and left cus I've been waiting for this for months.)

Perhaps I was being a bit too stringent in terms of post counts. I'm just trying to keep this organized. Soooooooooooooooo, how about instead of this awful one-post nonsense, we do it the old fashion way and just do it the normal way?

I'd also like to apologize if any of this seems a tad rushed or hastened. I'm excited for SP (ain't we all), and things have been a little difficult in general lately.
