The bombers we have alone are capable of crippling the frigate.

With an average score vs starfighters, plus the starfighters the Sith are going to have?
Keep in mind, we only have four bombers for our first raid.

The bombers are also damn fast, which is their primary defense. Simple hit and fade, draw the enemy fighters back towards the corvettes, which have anti-fighter weaponry.

Because my job appears to be keeping expectations for this faction in check, no, 4 bombers alone would not be able to cripple that frigate through its anti-strike defenses, let alone with a fighter compliment. They'd get chewed up.
Yes, it's a hypothetical situation and moot point because said bombers are not going in by themselves and as such will not be the sole focus of the frigate and whatever fighter escorts it has, but the amount of overestimating of ability I tend to see when keeping an eye on things here is concerning.

32 proton torpedos and 200,000 pounds of Sci Fi bombs are enough to level a small city, certainly to take down two targets on a ship with a puny 4 in shielding.

With the whole of its arsenal and 12 fighters converging on all 4 of them. Yes, they'd get shredded. This is what I'm talking about. I know you like your babies, but let's not be stupid.

Do I need to remind you they have an 8 in speed, and that with enemy fighters coming from the opposite direction that speed will be magnified? The result is that your Sith fighters will get off maybe a shot or two before they're passed on a high speed bombing run. It's the same principle as an A-wing slash.
We've already ascertained that the bombers have a payload capable of wiping out much of the frigate, now I've made it clear they can deliver it in a pass.
This is a sci fi writing site, not some wargame for the US air force.

If it was just fighters, sure. The frigate itself is not unarmed, though, now is it? It has more than enough weapons fire to focus on multiple bombers at once, yes?
I'm sure your bombers are lovely, but again, no against all of that alone, no.
But I said this was a hypothetical situation to begin with =P You can be upset if you want, but I'm not particularly concerned about that.

Yes, they can make a bombing run. That's what bombers are supposed to do. Essentially what you're doing is whining about the exact doctrine they're supposed to follow being used. You can't deny the capabilities, you can't deny the doctrine. We piece them together, and voila.
That's the way it works. You not liking the fact four bombers can mess up a crappy frigate is just you being anal over something that genuinely doesn't matter.
No one besides you cares.

Please highlight the place where I complained about bombers being used as bombers.
If you're gonna try to be clever, don't put words in my mouth, mk? At least follow the argument =P

I've debunked your argument clearly enough. This fits the doctrine, this fits the capabilities. The rest is up to us. If you want a stake in how it goes, you should have made a spearpoint character so you could participate.

"I, lmr, do admit that I did in fact misrepresent your argument. Now I am throwing a red herring in an attempt to divert attention away from the fact that I said you did something that you did not, in fact, do, and hope no one notices. Shall we meet for tea on Tuesday?"
Tuesday would be a lovely day, yes.
I also have better things to do with my characters, but the offer is welcomed =P

The matter is under my supervision, you need not concern yourself with it. Since you HAVE been inundating this faction with nitpicking since its very inception, it would be wise for you to take a step back and maybe let someone else deal with it. Let us RP, your concerns have been noted, and will be addressed. Also, That is all.

Okay guys, great job on Operation Initiation. Great opening raid.
And guess what?! We already got our next one figured out!
Our next raid shall be in deep space again, but with no real space-y elements. No dogfights, or ship to ship combat. Instead, we shall come upon a derelict Sith Dreadnaught left over from The Great Hyperspace War. It's hold is rumored to be filled to the brim with all sorts of treasures.
However, that makes it a popular target. We're not the only ones fighting over the ship. A group of Sith Privateers have already laid claim to the ship. But another group, a mercenary party making a living off of the war, has also laid claim to it. These two groups are already entrenched in the ship, and have started fighting each other.
For story purposes, we wont know these groups are there until we get inside. This is going to be a purely ground mission. That doesnt leave any pilots out however, as everyone can fight.
Now then, if you're interested, sound off. If you have comments or suggestions, keep 'em to yourself!
Just joking. We need the suggestions.
