In Character Leadership Positions We’ve been going at a good clip for a little while now. So let’s answer everyone’s favorite question, shall we? Below you’ll find the requirements for IC leadership. Please keep in mind that these characters receive no statistical benefits above those already available to a typical rank 3 or “Expert” character. Requirements The character cannot be the only character made by the player for the site. The player must be available through Discord in order to participate in site-wide plot discussions. The player must have at least one complete thread and fifteen or more in character posts. The character must be appropriate to the position as judged by our staff. The in character titles and responsibilities will not be changed to suit the character. Please do contact us before writing if you have any questions about what constitutes suitability for any given position. No one player can hold more than two of these positions at a time, no matter what their activity level is. Leaders of Regional-scope or larger custom factions count against this limit. [Note: These regulations do not otherwise apply to custom factions.] Finally, characters in leadership positions should be, above all else, ACTIVE. You must be willing to seek out threads with other members post-approval and you must be accessible to other characters within your faction. You must continually meet the following activity requirements: - Log in to the forum at least once a month. - Post with each of your leadership characters at least once every two months. The staff reserve the right to convert leadership characters to NPCs should the player become inactive on the site for more than a month. The staff also reserve the right to remove the character from the position at any point after that in order to allow a more active member to take on the role. If a member returns after an unannounced absence having lost their leadership position beyond salvageable “NPC” status, the onus of explaining the events in character is largely on the returning player. Example: Reserving a Position for a New or Returning Character In lieu of an application link, provide a short one paragraph concept that describes the character you want to make in #IC-leadership. Provide proof of activity as shown above. In either case, staff will contact you to finalize your character's promotion or reservation.

Senators, Aristocrats / Moffs, and Planetary Governors These character concepts do not require proof of activity and do not count against your leadership cap. They are still limited by their nature - we don’t need half a dozen senators for one planet, or two kings for the same. Please let us know in #IC-leadership before you start work on a character like this so that we can track it here.You do not, however, need to wait on staff confirmation to post a WIP for these positions. ---
