The calm, dead still of space hardly even vibrated as the massive object approached it at speeds faster than light. Only once the starship broke into the orbit of the planet Metellos, breaking apart the dead space like a hammer striking clay, did any registration of its presence seem detectable. The starship continued to glide, almost gracefully, towards the planet, veering off to one side to prevent itself continuing its course into the planet itself. On board, through windows several inches thick but perfectly clean of any hint of grime or inperfection, staff could be seen moving around checking terminals and assessing data.
"Admiral, we have arrived." The young man reported directly to the very pale superior. Pale simply because she was of white pigment, very rare for her species. "I can see that." She closed her eyes to prevent the anger from shooting forth laser vision to fry the man's skull. If only. She knew the planet was there. Kind of hard to miss. The alert two minutes ago had also helped. And the fact she had sent off an Ensign to deliver the news to an Ambassador kind of cemented the knowledge that she was aware they were orbiting. "Return to your post, lieutenant." she said, raising an eyebrow at the man still standing staring at her. Laser eyes. If only.

She walked down the streets with another entourage, having won the daily tournament again, though few entered with her there. They cheered her as they walked, and she loved it, never having soo much attention before. Her face was full of joy she hadnt had since before her colony was wiped out. She twirled her ritual brand in her hands like a baton.
As they walked down the streets, they neared the docks. Unknown to the group, the Mandalorian from the day before was following them, having escaped the authorities that tried to bring him in. His eyes never left the the Echani woman as he slowly neared the group, hiding in the shadows.

Kiqua moved from the bridge further towards the back of the ship where her quarters were. She punched in her multi-digit ID code and slipped inside the heavy blast doors to the soothing relaxation of her own private paradise. Well, hardly paradise. It was as grey as every other part of the ship, with small windows and several monitors probably telling her she'd missed a hundred messages from HQ. Several of those were probably invoices from other members of the crew and there'd no doubt be spam there. The constant badgering for the quarterly roster charts and, of course, no less than a dozen messages concerning the CorSec incident.
She walked straight past the main terminal with its blinking lights of urgency and proceeded instead to a smaller personal terminal linked to the ship's mainframe. After a little browsing she was finally able to look over the weaponry schematics sent to her in more detail. A handful of this stuff in capable hands could cripple major Republic resources in a matter of hours, or even minutes. How had the Republic not gotten their hands on this kind of stuff? She didn't even want to estimate the lengths of idiocy the Republic's staff were going through. She had the schematics now.
Me and who else? That contract did say 'exclusive', right? How can I be sure? How does he know he wasn't hacked? The concern began to grow in her mind, increasing more and more as she continued to click through the dangerous contraptions on her screen.

Xef'se went into a programming application and got to work. He typed for multiple hours straight, and though his hacker was good, he was better. If he was to give these schematics to the good Admiral, he would have to make sure that they didn't go anywhere else. The result was a nigh on impenetrable firewall and security system, which he carefully uploaded and remotely installed around the folders containing the schematics. He then sent a message to Kiqua through his terminal which simply said, "Simpleton's Toys. You'll know what this means when prompted."
He leaned back, and signaled for his drones to bring a display mannequin with some of his custom Zal-Alloy Mesh, then sent a communique to Admiral Kiqua, "Admiral you may want to come to my quarters. I've got some goodies for you to look at which WEREN'T posted on the system."

Kiela jerked her head up. He was here, she could feel his presence although distant. I would not take him long to find her, she had to move fast. Quickly throwing the few things she had into a bag, Kiela slipped out the door. She paused a moment glancing in the direction of the cantina. "I am sorry Malkaito" she whispered under her breath before turning to wards the space dock. She would take the first ship off this rock, by force if needed.

Daeira continued to wander around the docks with the crowd cheering her, unaware of the Mandalorian that followed them. "Give me some space for a moment." The crowd backed up and gave her plenty of room. She gripped her ritual brand tightly, and started to go through her Firedancer exercises, giving them quite a show. Flips, spins, jumps, kicks, intricate strikes to nothing, she did all of these in a fine display of her art. The crowd cheered like mad as they watched her in awe.
The Mandalorian watched from a distance, grinning."Thats right, little girlie, dance as much as you like, it wont help you in the end..." He pulled out a scoped blaster, and trained it on the Echani woman, his finger prepared to pull the trigger.

The message came through onto her secure network and she was hardly even surprised to see it came from Xef'se. She turned her full attention to it immediately, interested in seeing what else he had to say. It was a short message. It also didn't make any sense, and she was considering heading to his room when a message came for her over the communication channel. She picked up her earpiece from the side of her bed and put it in. Well well, and I was just thinking of you...
"Admiral you may want to come to my quarters. I've got some goodies for you to look at which WEREN'T posted on the system." I thought we searched them? How did they get anything else aboard this ship? she thought, bewildered and perplexed, but equally impressed. She realised she was holding the conversation up and decided to help it progress. "Sure, sure. I'll be right there." She began her march back through the corridors towards their quarters, back to see what sort of weapon they'd concealed from her. An ozone destroyer? A black matter generator? The journey to their room took a lot longer than she would want, and she half wished they had developed a fast transit system between their room and the bridge. Finally she arrived. "OK first things first. I want to know exactly how secure your schematics are." Pleasantries were probably implied.

"Well, there is no way to access my files on either my ship or terminal without my permission, at all. I'm good with security. I implemented a security system on the folder containing my schematics here on your ship. That message was the key. It should be impenetrable to most hackers, and if the hacker can get through my security, those schematics are the least of your worries." Xef'se gives this a grim finality. His words were true. He was among the best "computer security specialists" in the galaxy. He smiled cordially after letting his words sink in, "Now, please turn to the display mannequin. On it are some creations of my Corps that I didn't give you right off the bat.
He indicates the Verpine Zal Alloy Mesh and the XARC MAG Rifle at its base, "The armor is a sample, for you. Should be better than anything currently available for you. The MAG Rifle is a custom design, also a sample for you. That gun can shoot down the length of this ship in under two seconds. How's about that?"

Kiqua looked at the fashion show on display for her, thoroughly impressed. A weapon that fired at a kilometer a second? Now that was really impressive. She fiddled with her t'chun between a finger and a thumb as she observed the impressive technology. Enough things like this and the Republic could be a force to be reckoned with. But they'd never shell out for this kind of stuff, it would cost them a fortune they'd never be able to afford. And they'd waste it for sure. She could just about see the warehouses stocked full of this stuff in pristine condition that wouldn't be used since the troops were 'adequately equipped'.
"Very impressive. And I'm not just talking about this stuff. Computers seem to be very safe in your hands if you're not overspeaking yourself." She took another glance at the armour. "What about the suit? What's it made of? And how much did this stuff actually cost? I bet it wasn't cheap."

"The armor is made of ferro-ceramic plates combined with a Zal Alloy mesh to deflect most physical and energy weapons. There is enough in the Verpine refineries to outfit much more than two crews of a ship this class with armor, and more is made every day. A commissary requisition would do for supplies. Cost? Cost would be relatively low for armor of this caliber if the buyer is the republic, but for our public business it would be expensive." he says, tilting his head forward to show that he suggests this route.
He takes out a sheaf of notes from a nearby briefcase and shows Admiral Kiqua, "Once the supplies are gained, it's fairly cheap to assemble. The gun is made from various steels, lead, iron. Some electromagnets. The major cost would be for the public buyer, as it is for all intents and purposes a high-powered military rifle and to acquire one in vast numbers would require an inordinate amount of money for the civilian warlord -- Unless they have a contract of course -- but the cost for the Republic is fairly small."

Kiela shook her head at the crowd of hopeless people cheering at the pathetic display. She recognized the Echani woman immediately, though her curiosity had faded and Kiela cared little for those who made a spectacle of themselves in attempt to feel superior. Boasting like that did nothing but leave you open for unexpected attacks, such as the Mandelorian who was aiming a Blaster rifle at the Echani. the thought of giving warning or intervening touched Kiela's mind, but only for a second. "She gets what she deserves." she thought as she continued on.

Kiqua considered his words, noticing the head movements and figuring out after a few seconds what he was suggesting. She nodded too. "So the cheapest way to get it done would be to let the Republic in on the schematics... and that would in turn let spies of the Republic in on the schematics, which would render the entire thing useless in around 3 months." The public sector would probably be the more expensive route to go, but probably worth it if she could find a way of acquiring the money needed for it. She was suspicious Xef'se already had his ways of acquiring this money if needed. Banking accounts and the such like were all computer based after all.
"Well this is very interesting, and I'll look forward to discussing this further a little later. Now though I am to take our other passenger to the planet's surface. I feel like checking the local economy anyway to see if there are anything we can benefit from them." She smiled, leaving the room and heading off for the ambassador's room. She arrived faster than she had expected and opened the doors as soon as she arrived.

Shi'tan stood in the doorway staring at Kiqua, "Admiral, I expected an escourt, but I did not know you would be it." He made a soft bow letting his lukka flip in greeting. "I hope I have not been to great an inconviniance on your ship. I wish to thank you again for your cooperation in escorting me here." He raised a smile and cursed himself at the same time. He was tired of this deception but it was almost finished.

The shot is silent, none of those around the Echani womam heard it. One of those in the crowd fell over, dead, hit by a blaster bolt in the head. Everyone in the crowd ran screaming, and Daeira immediatly crouched into a defensive stance, and held her ritual brand, ready for combat. She looked around, hoping to catch site of her target. Another shot is fired and it burned a whole in her cloak. She ducked behind the nearest wall. "Damnit, what did I get myself into this time?"
The Mandalorian pulled the rifle up, angry with himself. Not only did he miss her, he hit one of the people in the crowd, then missed her when she was standing completely still. What was wrong with him today. He quickly broke into a run, and hoped he could find a new vantage point to hit her from.

Kiqua smiled, escorting the Ambassador to the hanger bay where a large group of soldiers stood ready to accompany them down to the planet. Several squads of starfighter pilots shot from the hanger patrolling the area to ensure they were safe here. It seemed that way at least as they passed from the command ship towards the planet, starfighters zig-zagging around them like confused insects. She was quiet on the way down, letting the Ambassador guide them to where they were going to land. Soon she would be able to go about her own business again.

(sorry posting for Shi'tan and kiela and it's kinda short just so we can get things moving)
Shi'tan glared impatiently as the door slowly opened. He could feel her near. How long he had waited to get his revenge. His anger heightened simply thinking of how his student had bested him. He did not wait for the Admiral and her officers to escort him off the ship but walked past them, they had served their purpose.

Kiela watched as the ships door slowly slid open. She crouched back against the building as the familiar cloak appeared in the doorway. Shi'tan had finally come for her. She had hoped for more time to hone her skills. She knew he was better then her, but he was not quicker. If she could get the drop on him somehow. She took her surrounds in and assessed the possibilities. She let her sight settle on the Mandelorian she had seen previously, the fool was running with the confusion of the crowd. He would work just fine. She slipped back into the shadows and began to pursue him.

The dropship's doors had barely slid open before the Ambassador, with alarming speed, had disembarked. His attitude was almost in total shift as he appeared to carry himself less graciously, and the pleasant aura he exhibited was non-existant, as if torn away. Kiqua watched for a second before leaving the dropship to follow him. He seemed to be intent on something, and she was interested in finding out what. The landing area didn't seem to be a dangerous place. It was pretty open really. She tapped the side of her clothing, feeling the bulge of the blaster pistol just underneath her loose cloth jacket. The weapon wasn't as reassuring as she had hoped it would be. Neither were the platoon of soldiers she had brought down with her.
"Ambassador, is something the matter? You appear tense."

Shi'tan spun around on the Admiral, a crazed look in his eyes and a strange smile crossing his lips. "Nothing at all Admiral, infact, everything is finally looking right." He licked his lips as if he were waiting on a special dessert to arrive. "I must thank you again for your assistance. I have a small reward I wish to give you." Shi'tan pulled his hand fronm benieth his robes and with a dull humm ignited his lightsaber. The red glow of it's blade inches from Kiqua.

Any hint of emotion that had previously been running through her, such as concern or confusion, was suddenly removed. She had felt slightly worried when he had turned around with his wicked grin, guessing he may have been here for something 'illegal', but now all she felt was fear and anger. This scum, Jedi or Dark Jedi, it didn't matter to her, but he was ready to kill her now, and she hadn't even drawn a weapon yet. The soldiers behind her had only now just begun to yell and focused their rifles on the Jedi, and through her. Quickly she flattened out her right palm in a way that they'd understand that they were not to fire. She didn't feel like being hit by friendly fire right now.
She considered moving, but realised it may only aggrevate him to running her through. Thoughts of the new weaponry and armour aboard her ship came to mind as she wished she had donned that gear before coming down here. She should have expected trouble. She exhaled, failing in the first few attempts to focus further down to blade to the face. She finally reached his malicious eyes before she took an extended blink. Her t'chun gave a little vibration as she considered the best thing to say. There was little point in querying his motives. He was obviously mad.
"Who are you?" It was a pointless question but if she could get him distracted she might get a way. Unlikely but her best shot.

The Mandelorian had repositioned himself and was again aiming at the Echani. Kiela smiled as she silently slipped in behind him. She leaned over close to his ear and whispered, "You're aiming at the wrong target". The man jumped in surprise and spun on Kiela who simply smiled back at him.
"Who are you? What are you doing?" The Mandelorian demanded, blaster pointed at Kiela.
Kiela stared at him with her colorless eyes, the force pricking away at the mans will, "You have nothing to fear from me, I am here to help you." She placed a finger on the barral of the blaster on gently pushed it to the side, the mandelorian letting her move the threat. "You see, we both want the same thing."
The mandelorian swallowed hard and pulled the gun back up, "What are you talking about?"
Kiela blinked at the man and stepped closer reaching a hand out to him. He did not resist as she stepped past the blaster and gently placed her hand on his chest. The Mandelorian relaxed and smiled at her. Feeding the force through her words she pointed across the docking bay, "The Twi'Lek over there is who you want to kill."
The Mandelorian raised his gun and fired.
